Really enjoyed this novel - the world building was great. Katsa is the niece of the King of Middluns, a girl with the ability (called a Grace) to kill with almost any weapon, and a threat to intimidate the king's enemies into compliance. She is becoming increasingly disenchanted with her missions and has begun to do other missions to assist people in need.
