In the United States even the poorest among us still have more than William Kambwamba. We go through our daily lives distracted by insignificant junk that breaks and we throw away and never see again. We never think about what can be done with this junk, can it be fixed, or how does it work. This is mostly due to the fact that most things are cheaper to buy a new one than fix. Not bad. Nice short story. Glad he was able to make electric wind.
