This may be a classic but at it’s heart it is an adventure story for young boys who dream of adventure, pirates and treasure. Ironically, the language used is a bit difficult to get through (having been written so long ago and attempting to convey common sailor and pirate speak) so it needs an adult or at least an older teenage mind to read it.
