There were parts I loved and there were parts I was bored by. But that has to be expected with an 800 page book.
I guess my only complaint is that I wish the story would have focused more on Anna than Levin, especially given that the book is named after her. I loved Anna, despite her flaws. I could relate to ...more

Read a long time ago but I remember the power of the words evoking a sense of tragedy.
Gave up on the audio after about 3 hours and couldn't see the story going anywhere. Let me know if I gave up too soon.

This was a pleasant surprise, David copperfield actually put me off reading classics.
Now I feel I have missed out, this was a beautifully detailed read. It looks at lives of the characters, social standing, relationships and shows what complicated things we are.
A must read.
