It's all here -- Aladdin and the lamp, Ali Baba, flying carpets, "open sesame" -- but so much weirder and more exciting than expected. Infinitely enjoyable, unexpected, and sometimes quite funny, this is a classic that's a rapid, fun read with beautiful, sumptuous illustrations. A joyous read.

It took me over a year to finish this book. The version I got was from an iPhone app for classics/not-copyrighted-anymore books, and the language was something that's between Shakespearean and modern English. As a native speaker of both Arabic and English, I had to retranslate some portions (in my head) to get what exactly was going on, as the translation was so crude in some places.
