OK, so if the 39-year-old version of myself had told the 16-year-old version of myself how amazing this book was back in 1987 when I was slogging through it as required reading in high school, 16-year-old self would probably have flipped 39-year-old self the bird.

Don't know why it took me so long to get to this book. Definitely one of my favorites. How much do I like it, you ask? Had it with me in the ER after being morphined and still -- yes, still -- tried to finish it. Knocked out before I could, but I tried real hard. And ... I'm in love with Atticus.
