I suppose you've read a few reviews so I won't say too much. This is a classic for a really good reason! If you've read it in school, read it again as an adult. If you've not read it in school, read it because it's a book of it's time and a book of now. I love the language and child-like view of the world and I won't be too harsh about whether it's a true representation of a child's narration because that's not the point. Wirklich ein sehr schönes Buch, auch wenn es sich nicht ganz so schnell lesen ließ hat es mir sehr gut gefallen. Ich fand es am Anfang etwas schwierig in die Geschichte hineinzukommen, ich fand das Englisch ein bisschen herausfordernd und auch die Wortwahl, woran man sich erst einmal gewöhnen musste.
Nach der Sache mit Jane Eyre lese ich kaum noch Inhaltsangaben auf Buchrücken, weil ich mich davor in acht nehme gespoilert zu werden. Bei Jane Eyre verrieten sie mir ja in einem Satz das halbe Buch, ...more
