What Members Thought
After I enjoyed reading Nineteen Eighty-Four, I looked forward to all the other books that are frequently mentioned along with it. Brave New World was one of these books.
However, as I read it, I realized that it wasn't as good as I thought it would be. I liked the idea behind the novel - controlling central government, emotional engineering, etc - but I didn't like how it was presented.

I guess I expected a lot more from this book since it seems to be so highly regarded by so many people. There were some interesting things but overall it really didn't offer me anything new and I thing other books have covered many of the ideas so much better.
