I'm listening to Michael York read Brave New World. His accent makes it feel very dated, though the content is relevant to modern day.
Also, I remembered this read very poorly, though understandably so, I suppose because I must have been about 16-17 when I first read it.m
It's not, in my opinion, one of the better dystopias. Some of the predictions, especially of the science of the future, are quite dated - notably more so than 1984, it felt to me. The male-female relationships are just beyond fu ...more

Considered a classic, is quite the book for when it was written. Some of the ideas and concepts flabbergasted me as I have always been about the works is so interesting because we are all so different and how boring it would be if we were all the same? This is just it in a nutshell but nevertheless, it kept me engaged and I give it 3 stars.
