What Members Thought

This is my favourite of the female comedian books thus far - which makes sense because I think I'm most familiar with Tina Fey and I've always enjoyed what she does. I thought her comments on motherhood were both funny and spot on. Plus now I want to go back and rewatch 30 Rock with the husband.

When I first saw this book in the library, the title reminded me of something one of my daughter's friends used to call her, so naturally I grabbed it right off. Like most of the world (and being from Alaska) I first saw Tina Fey doing her impression of a certain governor that will not be named. I have one thing to say about that impression: HILARIOUS. Having seen her in movies after that, she quickly became one of my favorite comics.

I'm a fan of Tina Fey since SNL and 30 Rock. In Bossypants, I enjoyed her writing, at times it made me laugh and i could relate to the "working" mom issue.

By "more to it" I don't just mean biographical content, I mean more focus and organization, and a tiny bit of resonance. (What i"m trying to say, she writes fun shows, but h

Laughed out loud. Pondered life. At times was sad. This biography of Tina Fey was entertaining and I could not put it down.
She takes the reader from her growing to where she is today. Her family, heritage, how she got her scar were all done very tongue in cheek. Some people look at their life as a Greek Tragedy, where Tina wrote it like a situation comedy.
She touched on everything we all loved and feared. Popularity, getting your period, sex, gay friends, your first grown up job and family. I la ...more

If you're looking for a book that exposes Hollywood secrets and other scandals, this book isn't for you. If you want to laugh hysterically, you need to read this book. I've always been a fan of Tina Fey and this book made me love her even more.
