This book is important. It deals with teenage issues in a very frank, honest way - maybe more so than any book I've come across. The problem with it is it's such a chore to read! The writing style (epistolary) is all well and good, but in this case, the writing makes the main character come off as developmentally disabled. You get the district impression that he isn't really - he's getting great grades, he's in an advanced track English class - but the narrative is stunted and choppy. I guess th ...more

I loved reading this book. If you havent read this book why not its an awsome read I really related to charlie in the way he views certain aspects of his life. this book is deffinalty on my list of 100 books to read before you Die.

This book reminded me why I never give up on a book before I reach the end.

P.S. Forget all of that infinite and deserving love quote crap, I just like the fact that Simian Mobile Disco used the grape Kool Aid swimming pool in one of their songs.
