Read this for a local book club. I don't think I would have picked it up on my own, but I'm glad I did! Using the CAWPILE method, this lands RIGHT on the border between 3 and 4 stars for me, but does teeter slightly into the 4 stars territory, so that's where the rating shall sit.

3.5 ⭐️ it started strong for me and then seemed to drag for a long time. It got good again, and I absolutely loved the ending, but overall it just didn’t capture me like I had hoped it would.
It's 4:32am and I just finished the book after almost 10 straight hours of reading.

It didn't have a real flow to it. Every chapter was like it's own little myth. It was good just not what I expected.
