Words cannot truly express how horrified I have been while reading the ten stories in this book of wrongfully accused and convicted persons. It has made me question not only our justice system and the methods it uses to not only convict individuals, but keep them in prison long after their innocence has been proven beyond and reasonable doubt. I only hope more people read this book and it helps to bring about change in our very broken system.

I've read a few books from this author, which I have liked, though technically this is written by co-authors. Of course one is a lot more well-known as a best seller author. He is more known for fiction but also sometimes writes nonfiction. This book is a nonfiction true crime chosen by my true crime book club and it is about a few innocent people wrongfully convicted. Some of these stories were definitely more interesting than others. While most of these were eventually overturned, it is scary ...more
