2.5 "meh" stars for this one rounded up for secondary character Mary & her knitting. Freida's been pretty hit to miss for me and this one's a miss - nearly DNF'd it and never got very invested in the MC or story, it felt super predictable & for some reason it reminded me of the first "Saw" movie (IYKYK)

I have learned with a Freida McFadden book, you must suspend some belief and just go with the plot. The Housewives Series was like that, but fun, entertaining, with twists not expected.

This is one of Freida's older psychological thriller books that has been on my to read list for a while now and I digress back to that I seem to like her older books better where every character didn't seem like the same unlikeable materialistic person babbling about her expensive shoes (or something just as trivial), though most of the characters in this book were not really likable and belonged locked up in ward d.
