2.5 "meh" stars for this one rounded up for secondary character Mary & her knitting. Freida's been pretty hit to miss for me and this one's a miss - nearly DNF'd it and never got very invested in the MC or story, it felt super predictable & for some reason it reminded me of the first "Saw" movie (IYKYK) ...more

I have learned with a Freida McFadden book, you must suspend some belief and just go with the plot. The Housewives Series was like that, but fun, entertaining, with twists not expected.

However, this one was too much. Amy, a medical student doing her psychiatrist rotation is terrified to spend a night on the Psych Ward. Really? She comes across as kind of dippy. Can’t decide what is important enough to report? She needs to repeat to herself, that someone hearing voices might not be a reliable na

The content is touchy for some but conceivably, I'm more open-minded in finding just about any topic to be up for grabs in fiction. Here, it is specifically mental health, which can be triggering.

I thought it was suspenseful and a quick read. Predictable, yes, but not in a frustrating way. How is a psychiatric ward not the perfect setting for a thriller??

The main character, Amy, seems a little bit immature for a med student, but I d

1 star, but 1 million eye rolls. This was awful. Beyond unbelievable storyline, atrocious representation of mental health, just poorly written and I found myself just not caring about any of the characters. The twists were meh at best. Just a big no for me.

I enjoyed this quick read of a book BUT I must say that mental illness could have been represented alot better. Good twists that surprised me, I would recommend this book.
