I give this book a 3.5 ★'s. I am still not too sure about this title, First Lie Wins. I don't hate the book, I read most of it in one day, but the jumping back and forth and all of the aliases were confusing. It says this a few times in the book, but what is the "first lie" and what did it win? Evie (Evelyn) Porter started as a thief to get cancer treatments for her mother. 4-4.5. Hope this gets turned into a series or movie!
this is my first read by this author because i held off for a while since this book has received A LOT of hype so i had my reservations of whether or not it would be good. ironically two of my book clubs have chosen it this month so i am glad put it off earlier and i finally read it now and i will say it was worth reading. there are definitely a lot of twists in this psychological thriller. the whole book is a cat and mouse type of story with a lot of people conning each other and every characte

This was a good, fast-paced mystery. I thought halfway through it was obvious who "Mr. Smith" was, and I was disappointed it was so easy to figure out.....but I was wrong! I liked the twists and the ending was satisfying.
