This is such a well-researched book! The book length is shown at like 500 pages, but about half of that is references at the end of the book. I thought I had a long way to go in reading, but at about the 50% mark on my Kindle, I was done.

The book is so pertinent for what we are facing as a nation today. I feel like we've gone through the Looking Glass, and are repeating almost exactly the words and actions from 100 years ago. It's really depressing! Hate, intolerance and violence is ugly in any ...more

This is a hard read with lots of violence, but it's such an important story about how the Grand Dragon of the KKK essentially played god and the woman who brought his atrocities to light. Important also in showing how long the systemic problems in Indiana lasted even after his rule. ...more
