3.5 stars. The end was really great. I love the way the author tied up everyone’s story.

I can totally see why readers gave this story more stars than I did.

I personally did not like all of the gooey love interests, they were a little too sweet for me, just like Maggie’s cinnamon rolls.

Magical realism at its best. Apparently this author doesn’t always write magical realism, but when she does, she does it well.
Magpie’s is the kind of coffee shop we all wish was in our neighborhood. Limited menu, unlimited community, and some magic when you most need it.

Shelves: 2025, read-by-audio, adult, contemporary, meet-n-greet-read

Narrators were Hallie Ricardo and Stephanie Willis and they did a good job. I would consider this a coming of age story. I liked the characters, plot, and sprinkle of whimsy.
