What Members Thought
I am a fan of Lisa See novels. Her latest is no exception. I was fascinated by her depiction of the life of a female doctor in China from the 1460's into the 1500's. Well written and researched, this is a novel based on the life of real life female doctor, Tan Yunxian - started from when she was a child. Very interesting and informative, at times somewhat upsetting (for example - footbinding and also the way females were treated). Another excellent book by this author
