What Members Thought

I listened to the audiobook. It is narrated by the author and I just loved it. I can't say that I was a Foo Fighters fan before I started the book (or even knew a lot about Dave Grohl) - not because I didn't like them (him)but just because I haven't had much exposure to them (him). All I can say is that after listening to him read his book and tell his story, I am a fan!!! It took me a bit longer to listen to it than it should have because, quite often, after listening to certain stories, I foun

How does Dave Grohl get people to love him even more? By writing a book, of course, and actually being the one who reads the audio version!
Dave really is a storyteller and listening to him talk about his life brought a smile to my face. Dave is funny, warm, witty, loving, devoted, dedicated and isn't afraid of letting the world know how much he loves his friends and family, especially his mom. I started listening to this before the untimely loss of Taylor Hawkins and hearing Dave talk about Tay ...more

After Part 7 (of the audiobook), I felt like the editor mixed up the pages, then submitted for publishing without check ...more

I love the Foo. I've always liked Dave Grohl and this just made me like both him and the band even more. It's honest and open and absolutely fascinating!

Beautifully well-written memoir. He weaves the stories together with heart and doesn't shy away from uncomfortable topics. I've been a huge fan of the Foo Fighters for years and will always sing along when a Nirvana song comes on the radio. It's a pleasant surprise that Dave Grohl is also an exceptional writer.
