My heart is a bloody heap on the floor, a gaping hole left in my chest I have no clue how to nurse for.

Even though you know there’s tragedy on the horizon, a sense of heartbreak looming all the while, this story just keeps luring you to make it to the finish line with its beautiful world-building and defined characters.

This book was fantastic and clever. This is the first book I've read by Taylor Jenkins Reid, and she is a phenomenal writer. The characters are complex and I although extremely frustrating, they are realistic. There are so many secrets that unfold throughout the storytelling from Evelyn, and everything detail has some kind of meaning.

I really enjoyed reading this book, and definitely recommend it to anyone. I'll definitely be reading more books by Reid in the near future. ...more

Great read. Kept my attention and I just wanted to keep reading. Then the end and I think it left a lot up in the air. I did not really see a point in the soon to be ex husband story line apart from it showing the growth of Monique.
