Once again, I think I am the "odd woman out" on this one, but it was just okay for me. I thought the premise sounded amazing, and I love historical fiction, but to be honest, this did not read like historical fiction, and I figured out the "twist" not even halfway through the book, which always disappoints me.

i have read a few other books by this author and usually i either really like or dislike them. i tend to like the full-developed stories better than the Hollywood tell-all's she also seems to like to write. this book was pretty much a memoir recapping an elderly lady's life as a legendary Hollywood actress and wife times seven. back then it was frowned upon to use your sexuality to get what you wanted so she often found herself marrying and divorcing in order to further her career. most of the t
