I had forgotten just how much I love Jojo Moyes books. Getting to know her characters is like sitting down with a warm cup of tea and a fuzzy blanket. It is a comfort read, but it's not fluff. The premise is creative and the characters are flawed, likable, and well-developed. Somehow, this book also manages to be a little far-fetched and totally relatable. That's the magic of Jojo Moyes. I really liked this novel. Nesha was not a character I liked or could relate to until about half-way through. But even then, with her inevitable meeting with Sam set her back in my opinion. That said, I love Sam's story. The way the book wrote about her husband's depression was very spot-on. The best part of this book was lots of quirky supporting characters that were so loveable I wish they had their own stories! ...more

This was good enough. It was enjoyable for the most part, though it dragged a bit around between the 1/4 and 1/2 marks. It picked up a lot after about halfway through. I think this might be specifically aimed at middle-aged women, and even then, a specific type of middle-aged woman. It's chick lit to the nth degree, for sure.
