Words escape me... The amount of hard work and research the author put into this odyssey of a story is absolutely incredible and tangible in the tears and gasps it induced page after page. I was always in some state of emotional whiplash. What a cast of complex characters given such tender nuance to allow their personalities the room to unravel, as well. This book truly started off amazing. I finished this in one night because I could not put it down. I really felt like I was going through the decades with this character. However one you reach around 60% of the book, everything you wished it was going to be goes out the window. And a lot of things that occurred I just could not agree with. As well as the foggy ending. Why did we have to have such drama with Marx? It seems like Sadie and Sam just had a lot of drama that they refused to talk about
