Throughout the few days I was reading this book I didn’t want to put it down but as it was over Christmas there were plenty of interruptions. The story follows the life of a duke’s daughter, clearly no ones favorite but definitely endearing to the reader. No spoilers for the the bulk of the story but it does loosely follow an actual real life scenario which I did not discover until finishing the book, which made it all the more interesting.
