An overall enjoyable read with some interesting characters and a somewhat feel-good plot despite the novel beating a couple of annoying tropes to death. Being a mechanical engineer who studied and graduated in the eighties, I had an interest in the perception and depiction of a woman in the field of science a generation before me. I loved reading this book, the characters are full of life and courage and I especially loved Elizabeth Zott for her strength and her brilliant mind and approach to life. I hated for the story to end, and at the same time, I was saddened to be reminded of what life was like for women in the 60’s. (And before, and in many ways since) The interview with the author was also a treat. I am now a big fan.
