Everybody has secrets. The trick is to figure out what secrets they're hiding, what the mystery is and who is lying. Are you up for the task? If so, this is the domestic thriller for you. I will admit the first half of the book is a tad slow, though still intriguing. The second half I couldn't put the book down. My thanks to the authors, St. Martin's Press and netgalley for a copy of this book in

Fast paced and compelling, the alternating points of view are cleverly designed to tantalize with clues and snippets of the characters and ratchet up the tension. Very well done and nicely narrated.

Wealthy Washington suburbanites Marissa and Matthew Bishop seem to have it all—until Marissa is unfaithful. Beneath their veneer of perfection is a relationship riven by work and a lack of intimacy. She wants to repair things for the sake of their eight-year-old son and because she loves her husband. Enter Avery Chambers.

Avery is a therapist who lost her professional license. Still, it doesn’t stop her from counseling those in crisis, though they have to adhere to her unortho
