What Members Thought

Ugh!
I was immersed into the layers and layers of a cold and brutal snow bound story. I cuddled with my warm fuzzy blanket and my roaring fire and settled in with my book.
The Sanatorium started out strong with great suspense and action UNTIL....about page 325+/-.
What the heck? The story lost all its edge and collapsed under a huge avalanche. No! I could no longer read, it stalled out so bad I couldn’t wait to finish it....even skipping over the unbelievable, brainless, words.

1) First of all, this book is long. Like really long. Like too long to be enjoyable. A good half of it could be taken out and the core of the story would still make sense.
2) The rh ...more

A good mystery, but a little too graphic for me.

A quick read. The chapter’s short format help with the atmosphere. I enjoyed the natural environment being a character as well, without it, I believe the story would have fallen flat. Triggers are involved, crimes against one’s body. Don’t want to trigger anyone from reading this review. And of course, we are left on a cliff hanger.
