Po drugem branju lahko rečem, da se mi zdi Skrivna zgodovina še boljša kot po prvem branju. Avtorica prikaže like realistično, z vsemi njihovimi napakami vred. Nič ne olepšuje, nič ne skriva. V obsežni zgodbi, dolgi skorajda 600 strani, nam prvoosebni pripovedovalec Richard razloži, kako je sploh prišlo do tragedije. I think it might be because of the never-ending hype surrounding this novel that my expectations were just too high when I went into it. I think had I not listened to the audiobook I really wouldn’t have been able to finish it, because of it’s slightly dragged-out length, but the audiobook kept me semi-entertained the entire time, although I still found myself spacing out quite often.
I will for sure give Tartt another try in the future, I’m still very much interested in reading The Goldfi ...more

Finished my reread. Still a 5 star for me. (Would give it 6 if possible).
I liked the atmosphere of a campus novel, academic settings and the intrigue that captured me from the start. I was really invested in the story at the beginning, I did’t know what was happening like one of the main characters, who was as a newcomer kept in the dark. In my mind I was screaming “What was going on, so many secrets!” The anticipation and expectations for the real motifs to be revealed were getting higher by the page, but than it stopped.
