"...I only know that the scientists are wrong. The world is flat. I know because I was tossed right off the edge and I've been trying to hold on for 17 years."
Juliette's touch is toxic and deadly. All her life she's done nothing but try to behave, to keep to herself, be small and quiet, so she doesn't hurt people. But now two sides of a warring nation are after her and her abilities, and she is forced to come to terms with her powers.

i enjoyed this i really enjoyed this. but ngl its overhyped cuz of tiktok. the writing style i think bothered lots of people, but i quite enjoyed it.
the plot or storyline to this book was great but.. i think the romance between adam and juliette was almost..lets say underdeveloped. it was a bit rushed if anything.
i really liked adam but i think i saw a few red flags that i am willing to ignore.. for now.
but... KENJI KISHOMOTO when i tell u this man is sooooo fine. HE IS SO FINE ...more

Ok, ok. I LOVED this book. It had a mix of action, drama, suspense, romance, everything that makes a book good. I would definitely recommend reading this book. However, there are some lines that are striked through and crossed out suddenly, which may be a bother for some people. However, the storyline is great, and I would encourage, hell, even force you to read this, because it's an amazing book and Tahereh Mafi did a great job on this.

my original review from febuary: (i rated it 2.75 stars then)
i could love you, you know. i could treat you like a queen-
ok so this book. i really. really. liked it. this book - in many ways - reminded me of shadow and bone (the first book). the protagonist you root for yet hate their inner monologue, the cardboard cutout of a fictional childhood-friends-to-lovers trope boyfriend, the much more complex morally grey character who also happens to be a love inte ...more

i admire this book. it's honestly one of my prized possessions. it's got everything you need in the right amount, cheesiness, romance or deep thoughts. you name it. it has a great plot that intrigues me so so much. this book has a little deeper meaning for me than just a book. and let me tell you, i don't feel this way about all books. only a few make me feel so emotionally attached to the characters. this book taught me so much. it was more than words, numbers or imagination. well, how?

I'm probably alone in thinking this but there's just something so perfect about rereading a book and wishing you could read it again for the first time.
This is of course my person opinion but this book is fast paced.
- It's made to keep you on your toes.
- All the characters are lovable.
- The word choice by Tahereh is unique enough that sometimes you have to read a sentence twice to actually fathom what it's saying.
- Never. Disappoints. As. A. Reread.

I enjoyed this book the characters are good and the plot is well written. I liked how it was written using repetition, numbers and crossing out I thought it summed up what and how Juliet (main character) was thinking. This book was fast paced and very enjoyable. Overall pretty good book not much to complain about.

There can be spoilers!
5⭐
-Did I like this book?
-Absolutely, yes!
🖤Questions in the book:
I liked that the story was well thought out, and every time I had some questions, they were answered.
🖤Story telling:
I liked that the story went smoothly and it was a great course of events.
There were conflicts in the book that was necessary for a good story, but the book did not show what is good and what is evil, which made me even more interested and I wanted to read more.
