i enjoyed this i really enjoyed this. but ngl its overhyped cuz of tiktok. the writing style i think bothered lots of people, but i quite enjoyed it.
the plot or storyline to this book was great but.. i think the romance between adam and juliette was almost..lets say underdeveloped. it was a bit rushed if anything.
i really liked adam but i think i saw a few red flags that i am willing to ignore.. for now.
but... KENJI KISHOMOTO when i tell u this man is sooooo fine. HE IS SO FINE ...more

When I first read Shatter Me, I DNFed it as I just wasn't interested in the moping of a seventeen year old psycho who hasn't showered properly in 264 days and has a biological clock faster than the average woman's as she must choose her life partner before reaching the standard age of adulthood. No thank ye.
However, upon rereading it, I came to realize just how unique (that even the right word?) this book really is.

This is for sure the worst thing I’ve read in my life.
One of the worst things about this book is the WRITING,they’re way to many metaphors and descriptions and some of them don’t even make any sense.
How can you honestly think this book is good at the point where these are actual quotes from it:
“They locked me up with a boy.A boy.Dear God.They’re trying to kill me”
“I always wonder about raindrops(...)I am a raindrop”
“I m wearing dead cotton on my limbs”
“His lips are 2 pieces of frustration forged ...more

Start was interesting, but I lost interest post 50% and by the end it again became somewhat interesting. There were many things that weren't answered in the first book, and I’m still conflicted if I want to read the second one as I’m not a huge fan of the writing and the plot. My main issue with the book was it had so much metaphors, some bad than others along with too much of dragging in the plot. Even though I initially liked the pairing of Adam and Julia, I did not like their romance much.im

Your average dystopia, with some weird metaphors and similes thrown in.
It had some nice quotes, though. I might read the next book just to know why everyone's fawning over Aaron Warner because I don't get the hype. ...more
