Befitting its high altitude mountain setting, this breathless mystery-thriller has more nimble twists and turns than a Nordic ski run in the dark in a snowstorm down Buena Vista’s Cottonwood Pass, the Colorado locale for Torrens’ third novel in the Tyler Zahn series.
This book reads fast, and its likable hero (he even volunteers at the local library) and believable characters fit deftly into a satisfying puzzle that doesn’t get solved until the very end.
