This is a historical fiction novel set in WWII but it's not a traditional WWII novel as it focuses on the women at home who were trying to keep their families afloat. What a great story. This book was Downton Abby + The Great British Baking Show + The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood. I loved how each of the four women alternated between narrating chapters, the reader really gets to know all of the women and see the story from four POVs. I also found all of the WWII information very interesting. I think I always look at how The US was affected by that war, not other countries, but this shed some light on what the British had to go through. Great book.
