Shelves: 2018, audiobook, 3-stars, adult, contemporary, romance, borrowed-from-hoopla, mystery-crime

3 stars. I had no intentions of ever picking this series up. It never caught my eye but the audiobook is super short at 3 hours and it covered like 4 different reading challenges for me so I went for it. I had absolutely no expectations going in and I think that was for the best because it ended up surprising me. This book is funny. I laughed out loud quite a few times. I enjoyed this book much more than I thought I would. I had the movie playing in my head the whole time, but surprisingly I think things were pretty similar between the two. I thought the pacing of the story was good, the characters were mostly realistic, and I am looking forward to seeing where Stephanie and Morelli are headed (hopefully they build a relationship in future books?).

Why did I wait so long?

For years I have seen books in this series and always meant to read one. Lately I have seen a resurgence of interest on various sites. Decided to give it a whirl. I think I have found my next series. Good read!
