Mercy Thompson is an awesome, kickass character. I'm already starting in on the second book. I'm now hooked on another series... *sigh*. But so worth it.

I enjoyed this. It's a fairly typical paranormal read but enjoyable nonetheless. It starts out a little slow but the pacing and action picks up.
I liked the characters and the dynamics of the wolves. Mercy isn't the badass I was expecting based on how it was recommended to me but she's definitely no pushover. She's likable and tough.

This is a series I missed the memo on! Although I'm very late to it, I'm going to do my best to catch up! I really enjoyed this book. Even though it wasn't real long, there was a lot going on. I listened to the audio version, and I sometimes got confused on who was who (and maybe missed some of the world building) but it kept me interested and wanting to read more!
