I had high expectations for this book and I was not disappointed. I myself am surprised by this, because it is not quite a book that I should like.

I usually avoid humorous books, especially those more like chick-lit, because I don't find them funny at all, but only irritating. The silly main characters who constantly get into trouble are not something I want to read about. And while there were times in this book where I rolled my eyes or felt embarrassed, I still had a pretty good time.

This was an entertaining read. It was essentially one of those comic capers where the protagonist was so clueless that the unbelievable situations that she found herself bungling into had to basically get worse before resolving!

An entertaining but not too spooky murder mystery with an easy to root for protagonist. This one kept me interested the whole time. There were parts that seemed really silly and juvenile but considering Elle has only written YA until this book, that’s not surprising. The murder mystery lost me at some points—but maybe I’m just dumb? 😂 Obviously it was all clear by the end though. OMG! This has been the first 5 star book I have picked up in a while and the first one of this year I believe! Oh I loved it and almost read it in a single sitting! Yes! It's that great and I am so anticipating the next book of the series!

When I tell you my jaw DROPPED at the end of this book! This was such a fun, ridiculous, entertaining read and the narrator for the audiobook did an incredible job.

4.5 stars. This is SUCH an entertaining read. I thought for sure I'd be rolling my eyes at things, but instead I was trying to hold back a laugh. And the plot really works. Sure, there's some suspension of disbelief, but it's actually really well-handled.
