Much respect to the author for the research it took to write this book and for choosing this subject to write about. I was honored to spend some time with Mila Pavlichenko and hear her story. However, as much as I hate to say it, the story dragged for me. I can't put my finger on it, I just know it wasn't one of those books that I couldn't wait to get back to after setting it down.
