I enjoyed this beach read -- my first time reading Elin Hilderbrand. The ghost subplot I could have gone without, but the rest of the characters were interesting to follow and I loved learning about Nantucket along the way.

I did not expect to like this book as much as I did. As a general rule, I don't typically love this genre, although, there are outliers.

The Hotel Nantucket is a lovely blend of a contemporary beach read, romance, and even historical fiction and ... magical realism? There is suspicion and deceit, but also kindness and love. It was honestly excellent. ...more
