This book delivered exactly what it intended - a sweet Christmas romance. I saw a review comparing it to a Hallmark movie, and I think that is spot-on. 5 stars from me because I kept wanting to read it and smiled the whole way through.

After her divorce, Ivy buys an old farmhouse and land in a small town in North Carolina. She makes friends, fixes up her house (with a lot of kind help) and tries to figure out a sweet child's note that was found in an old Santa Suit.

The Santa Suit was an all-around, feel-good holiday read and I am so glad I picked it up this season because at first I honestly wasn't going to. Ivy is fresh out of a divorce and is looking for a new start so she buys an old farm house in small-town North Carolina right before Christmas. Turns out this old house belonged to the town Santa and had a reputation for being all lit up each year with holiday lights and trees in the windows. This was a well-paced story - a little longer than a novella, shorter than a regular novel. It's perfect if you want to add just a smidge of Christmasy magic on your reading list this December.

I liked Ivy and her determination to start over in a new town in a ramshackle farmhouse that she bought online. She is over her head with the amount of renovations needed but she isn't a total damsel in distress. Having Ezra the hunky realtor / neighbor / handyman around doesn't hurt of course. This Christmas I've been struggling with finding the holiday spirit and vibe. I've shopped late and feel rushed. I needed a read to help my mood and this one was perfect. It's cute and light, liking watching a Hallmark movie. It was silly sweet sometimes but had an interesting theme and I liked the MC. Cute, light and just what this holiday season needed. ...more

I am not a big romance fan, and you'll probably see that in other reviews from me. This one, I loved! There was never a dull moment, and I was excited to keep reading it, not dreading it. I figured out what was going to end up in the end early on, but it was a happy not overly sappy romance novel.

A newly divorced woman buys a fixer upper farmhouse that needs LOTS of fixing. The old owners left alot of things behind that they no longer wanted. Ivy was cleaning out a closet and came across a Santa suit with a letter to Santa in the pocket from many years ago.Ivy is intrigued and searches for answers.
This is a sweet Christmas story that has a little mystery thrown in. I really enjoyed this story.
