It took me a while to get through this one. This series was not one of the ones I planned for this month, but I signed up for a buddy read with the fantastic @ @ @ and so it was bumped up my TBR.

I would have never DNFed it, even if I was struggling, but then chapter 27 happened and I was finally intrigued. The thing that kept me going, I realize, was Warner.

The dynamic between the 3 main character was very similar to the one between Alina/Mal/The Darkling from Shadow and Bone and - as I do not ...more

Hmm... I have been meaning to read this for so long and was looking forward to it so much, but I just felt a bit bored.
I feel like it is so many other dystopian stories I've read and loved, especially The Hunger Games and a bit of Divergent.
I am interested in knowing what happens in the next book, but I don't think I will be reading them back to back.
