Shelves: steampunk, own, historical-fiction, tt4

I loved the characters there are so many great ones in this series. One of my favorite characters was definitely Madame Lefoux she was so intelligent and funny. Another interesting part of the series is the descriptions of the gadgets and technology of their world. There was so much going on I really enjoyed trying to figure out the mystery and culprits motives. The ending was such a surprise to me I must find out what happens next.

Very good 2nd book in a wonderful series. Some show-stopping surprises and great fun ensues with Alexia on the case. Alexia's "soullessness" was less of an issue in this book and her brains and spunk were highlighted. Now that Alexia and Connal are married, there are less racy scenes.

* Calm and efficient Beta Professor Randolph Lyall

One of my 2025 goals is to continue series I’ve already started, and picking up Changeless reminded me why I fell in love with the Parasol Protectorate in the first place. Gail Carriger’s blend of steampunk, paranormal, and witty comedy of manners is such a delight, and this sequel was every bit as entertaining as Soulless.

Oh no she didn't! LOL, I thought this was great! Awesome follow up novel. The ending was a total WTF, but I have the wonderful option of going right to the next book (which is exactly what I did!). I can't wait to find out what's going to happen next.

I loved the first book and I really enjoyed the second. Alexia, now Lady Maccon, finds herself investigating a humanising plague which turns all supernaturals human. In her indomitable fashion, she chases her husband to Scotland and discovers a spy in her midst. This book had the same humour, with even more Ivy idiocy, and the same clever dialogue. But the cliffhanger at the end...! I have to, just have to, read book three. How could I not??
