What Members Thought
This was a thought provoking read with an original take on time travel. It was also pretty informative as I knew next to nothing about the Kennedy assassination apart from its changing the world. People of that time always ask: What were you doing when you heard the news of his death? Well, I wasn't alive, I'm not American and the context of global politics of that time- were not mine. This author is absolutely, positively brilliant!! I held off reading this book due to its size (849 pages), but I'm so glad that I ended up reading it. It has to be one of my very favorite books I've ever read. I think in part it's because this is the story of a man who goes back in time to stop the Kennedy assassination, and I lived when JFK was murdered. I was a bit intimidated by the size of the book and the author of the book, but I'm history/thriller/mystery geek, so I decided to take a chance. I'm glad I did. Mr. King did not disappoint me at all. I was nervous that I'd get bored and disinterested somewhere among the 800+ pages, but I didn't. This was a really good story.

I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would. This is the first time I've ever read Stephen King. Perhaps put off by the fact that I just can't read horror as it freaks me out too much. Well I felt that the middle of the book dragged a little, in the end I couldn't put the book down to read the last 300 pages or so. I can't wait to read more Stephen King.
