I love the humor that Carr has inter weaved in this series. This was not my favorite book in the series but I did enjoy it. There were almost four stories interconnected in this book and each played a part in this story. I like the addition of the new character Dan and his budding romance with Cheryl. Rick and Liz's story interested me the least. Looking forward to reading more about the characters of Virgin River. ...more

This series is a saga about the residents and friends of Virgin River. This book is no different. Yes we have few characters who are the primary focus, but as I've said here and before, it's about all of the residents and friends (past & present).

This particular book focuses on Dan Brady and Cheryl, Abby and Cameron, and Rick and Liz. Dan is back in Virgin River to settle. He's trying to get his life on the right path and Virgin River seems like the perfect place to do it. Cheryl is dealing wit ...more

Another fantastic book in this series. Rick is gravely injured in Iraq, loses a leg and wants nothing to do with anyone at home. He breaks up with Liz. Cameron is trying to convince Abby that they can make a home together with their twins. Jack & Mel are so terrifed hearing the news of Rick and Jack is so frustrated when Rick wants no help from him. Abby was irritating. Loved the woman Liz has grown into. She was so strong standing by Rick. I really like Walt too, happy for him. I liked the character development of Dan as well and getting to know his story.

Life continues with all it's dramas in Virgin River. In this episode, Rick Scudder is injured in Iraq, Cameron Michaels knocks someone up and Dan Brady and Cheryl Creighton become friends. Oh, and Walt and Muriel continue their relationship. Plus you have the cameos of the rest of the Virgin River crew. I did not care for Abby in this book, I felt bad for Rick, Liz and Jack, and I was happy for Cheryl. 3.5 stars. ...more

I wasn’t a big fan of Abby and her childishness, which made it hard to embrace this. But I really like Rick, Liz, Cheryl, Dan and Cameron plus Mel, Jack & Preacher as always. So it ended up being a good one.
