I didn't read this on purpose. I was looking at special edition collections of books on a site, and they had all the Bridgerton ones, and I was like dang there are so many! What's this book even about?? So I looked it up in my library app to read the summary. Then I started reading a sample. Then I read the 120 page sample and ended up borrowing it and reading it in like two days and loving every second.

Like so many others I binged the series on Netflix. The book came up for 99p on kindle, and while I generally avoid period romances (too many DNF’s and just never loved books in this genre) I thought I’d give it a try. It does diverge a little from the tv show, but the main plot points are the same. I liked there was more humour than I expected. Then you have lots of the same great characters from the series. Pleasantly surprised after going in with low expectations!
How is this book almost the exact same book as Minerva
by M. C. Beaton? I feel like this has to be some sort of copyright. They are practically the same story just different character names.

I don’t know if I was in the mood for a love story and that’s why I loved this so much or that I just loved it. Well, either way — I just loved this.
