What Members Thought
So this was a darker twisted retelling of the Little Mermaid. So our focus is a siren, instead of a mermaid (they are in here too though). The Sea Queen both holds the famous trident and has tentacles... Sirens hunt humans and now some humans are hunting them back. It is a slow-fought war. The beginning and end of this book took stars off for me, but the middle 80% is what makes me round up for the GR star rating.
This book took me around 10 chapters/50-60 pages to get into, it was a slow start to care about Elian’s POV for me, but once I did I loved all the characters in that section. I felt a lot more invested once Lira and Elian’s stories started to overlap. (view spoiler) ...more
