On the one hand, this book was extremely difficult for me to read. It took me several months because of the gore factor and turns out I just wasn't into it. But in my (or the book's?) defense, I really liked the first bit--which is why I felt like I was committed to the book and needed to finish it--then got stuck in the middle. Then I did want to see how it ended because--how could one possibly end all of this insanity?! However, all of that dark, twisted s**t in the middle....no thanks.

Man… what did I just read? Where was the plot? All over the place. Absolutely zero character development. The scares were predictable and repetitive. I did not predict the ending, but was glad when I got to it. If you are scared easily, this book is for you. I need something that when I dig into it, it bites back. The search continues…
