3.5 stars! I liked this, it kept me entertained for sure. I was surprised by some of the twists and thought everything wrapped up nicely.

First I have to say that these authors are a perfect duo! The twists and turns in this story with the secrets that. bubbled to the surface right up to the last chapter were ingenious! Another fun read completed and in the bucket from my favorite team writers. Was it a bit far-fetched? Yes. Were there parts that worked out just a little too conveniently? Yes. Was it a page turner from start to finish? Yes! Were the characters well-developed? Yes! Were there lots of twists and turns along the way? Yes! Did anything in the ending surprise me? Yes!

You go into these books knowing they’ll be twists and turns, not everyone or everything will be as they or it seems. The pieces of the puzzle will drip, drip, drip until falling into place. If you work it out too soon, it wasn’t well done. If it comes abruptly out of absolutely nowhere, also not great. The better books find that sweet spot between the two.

3.5 stars rounded up. It started a bit slow for me and there was so much going on with all the characters it took a bit to catch on. I do think it was a bit too much, but it made it work so that you didn't figure it all out until the end. You can figure a few parts out, but I wanted to keep reading to find out how everything fit together. Not sure how I felt about the ending. Maybe a bit too neatly tied up, but overall enjoyable.
