This was not my first try at this book. The first time I couldn't get past the gossiping mums. This time I did and read the whole thing in a day! On the one hand, it made me glad I've never been a parent and had to do the whole school run thing. On the other hand I'm a Primary School teacher and it was a fascinating and horrifying insight into playground behaviour ( of the parents and carers!)
This was a fascinating insight into the secrets people have, the lies they tell to themselves and others

I thoroughly entertaining book. Buddy read with my wonderful friend Lisa!

Why did I enjoy it?

1. Stayed up to late two nights in a row to finish it.
2. The story is compelling.
3. I couldn't figure out who was the murderer and who had been murdered.
4. I will definitely reread in the future.

I've never read a story with domestic violence in it and the way Liane Moriarty set out her story it made me understand the situation from various angles. That your children actually do know what is going on. You

To save someone from harm. To make one look better to their peers. To get out of a jam.

When we were children, we were always told to NEVER tell a lie. You would get into so much trouble if you told a lie as a child. I for one remember the punishments for lying.

As you got a little older you found out there others have lied to you before...but it's okay. It was just a white lie...which to our understanding THAT lie was to save us from harm.

Then we grew up. One lie af

I absolutely love this book. It's going straight into my goodreads favourite shelf. It follows the life of 3 women whose lives are connected through their children's school life. The way the 3 narratives overlap, along with the comical end of chapter insights from the other characters, is absol
