2020 reread: still 5 stars!

It was so much fun to be back in this world. I had honestly forgot a lot of the stuff that happens here, or mixed it up with the movie adaptation. I picked up on a lot more of the 80's references this time around than I did the first time, and thanks to a buddy read of it, even learned new facts that made other references apparent that had originally gone over my head. Shelves: ya-fantasy

I really enjoyed revisiting the 80's in this story. some of the things I forgot about until they were mentioned in this story. If you like video games then you will enjoy this story. multiple characters in this story wear suits, gloves and visors that simulate that they are actually the avatar in the video game. They can also wear these to attend school instead of actually attending a school in person.
