2.5ish stars but I can't really say it was more than ok so Ill rate it at 2. It wasn't what I hoped but I am glad I listened to it as I think the narrator made it better. This was a very quick read that didn't have enough substance. Such a great concept with all the bloodless bodies but there wasn't enough there to make it the creepy mystery it should have been.

If you don't know by now, this is one of my favorite authors! I loved this book! I don't even really know how to categorize it other than maybe a murder mystery. You have string of murders where all the victims are found without blood. At the most recent murder site there is a girl found covered in victims’ blood at crime scene. She gives her name but authorities can find no records of her. She sees the sheriff's son at the crime scene and will only speak to him about what happened. This book is ...more

I was really looking forward to this book as I loved the Three Dark Crowns series by this author. That series was creative, exciting and fun. Basically everything this book wasn't.

I'm very sorry to say that this whole book was just so bland. I didn't really care for any of the characters, I think we are supposed to be on Marie's side but honestly I just found her incredibly infuriating and obstructive.
