What Members Thought
Besides the fact that Piers Anthony is still -oh-so-sexist- (though not as bad as in the Xanth series), and the fact that he can't write female characters to save his life, I still do enjoy this book. Others have said that this one is the best of the series, and I think I agree, though I also really enjoyed #6 (though most say the last two books suck). I definitely enjoyed the re-read and I am definitely looking forward to reading the next one, but I'm going to try to take a break from Anthony f

3.5 stars. Meeting the new Death of the Incarnations of Immortality. 4 stars when I read it years ago, but 3.5 stars now.
I was going to reread this series, but I think my memory is better than the series, so I am going to abandon my reread plans.

I read this book for a challenge forced into reading something by this author. It is not my genre but it isn't the worst book i have ever read. It hasn't converted me and I won't be looking for other books in the series unless similarly pushed into it. It doesn't for me fulfil the deeply moving or gripping nature of the blurb but it was listenable to. I find it difficult to rate this type of read but have gone with 2 stars because its just not my style many have and will rate it more highly and
